The BioStyle Phosphate Binder Cartridge is designed to help limit algae growth by binding phosphates without dissolution. This cartridge can be added to your BioStyle's filtration system based on the specific needs of your aquarium. The Phosphate Binder is a strong, fast-acting buffer that reduces phosphate levels to solve algae problems. It achieves this by quickly and permanently binding phosphates, preventing them from returning to the water.

The highly porous bead-shape of the Phosphate Binder promotes easy flow-through, increasing efficiency and capacity. Additionally, it is colorless and will not cloud the water. Each cartridge contains 50g of the Phosphate Binder and fits inside the filter chamber of the BioStyle Power Filter series, replacing the 30 ppi filter foam. The number of cartridges that can be used in a BioStyle unit depends on the size of the filter.

Phosphate binder should be used only when necessary and replaced every 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the size of the aquarium, the number of fish and plants, and any declines in filter performance. Before use, the cartridge should be rinsed with water, but it should not be opened.
