Inland Seas OASE BioMaster 600 6-Month Media Replacement Bundle

This 6-month replacement media bundle is designed for the OASE BioMaster 600 Canister Filter and the OASE BioMaster Thermo 600 Canister Filter with Heater. It includes EIGHT items: 3X OASE BioMaster 250, 350, 600 & 850 Replacement 45ppi Carbon Pre-Filter Foam 6-Pack; 1X OASE BioMaster 250, 350, 600 & 850 Replacement 30ppi Filter Foam; 3X OASE BioMaster 250, 350, 600 & 850 Replacement 20ppi Filter Foam; and 1X Silicone Grease.

The Hel-X 13 Biomedia does not normally require replacement. However, the 45ppi Carbon Pre-Filter Foam has the smallest holes among the filter materials and needs to be replaced most frequently, as it is the first to become clogged and break down before the 30ppi and 20ppi media.

Although this bundle is listed as an Inland Seas product, all the media components are manufactured by OASE and come in their original packaging.

To ensure the proper functioning of your BioMaster Filter, we have included a small 1cc tube of Inland Seas Silicone Grease. It is highly recommended to lubricate the o-rings each time you open the filter.

The frequency for replacing the media depends on various factors, such as the bio-load in your aquarium. If you have a heavy bio-load, replacing the media every six months may not be sufficient. Conversely, with a light bio-load, replacement once a year may be adequate. In general, the media should be replaced when it can no longer be cleaned effectively or when it starts to break down.
